If you loathe reality, kill it with art.

My black and white portrait of Black Widow by Cristina Otero, also known as *Senju-HiMe.
I really wanted to draw this picture because I love Otero's photography. I was also inspired by her drawing and writing skills, especially the quote I used as the title and her poem "Beauty, What is That?" [link]

The paper is 18x19.5 inches. I used graphite to draw the outlines and shaded with compressed charcoal. I've never used charcoal before and I thought I would hate it, but I actually kinda like it. I worked on this for about two to three weeks and I'm estimating it literally took somewhere between 20-30 hours total, which is the longest I've ever worked on a picture. It looks better in person than it does in this picture.
There are some things that look a little off, but overall I like how this turned out and I personally think this is my best drawing so far.
